Would you like to volunteer for the Conscious Citizens?
The Conscious Citizen is run by a small team (literally just two of us right now) but the community is growing quickly. We have many ideas on how to grow this project and make it an even more valuable place for learning and connection. In order to do so sustainably, we are opening the door for anyone who would like to volunteer to help the Conscious Citizens grow.
Anyone is welcome to volunteer regardless or location or access level. All volunteer opportunities are designed to be a 1-5 hour per week commitment. We want to foster a community that honors everyone's unique capacities so any volunteer can start or stop at any time with no questions asked. One person is welcome to volunteer for multiple roles, but please keep in mind your personal capacity if you choose to do so!

Curator
We need help gathering calls-to-action, news stories, and other info that will populate parts of the Conscious Citizens. Tasks will include things like browsing social media/the internet for calls to action that readers can participate in, finding news stories of victories from movements around the world, and gathering research for future Conscious Citizens segments.
Community Engagement
We’re looking for people to help us keep our Discord community lively, friendly, and active. If you have experience moderating online communities in Discord, that’s a plus but not necessary! Tasks will include helping answer questions, staying active in chats, and supporting other community-building initiatives the Conscious Citizens hosts.
Jr. Designer
Are you interested in graphic design? We need help creating social graphics content to promote the Conscious Citizens on Instagram and other social media apps. Tasks will include using pre-made templates to create graphics from the content in Conscious Citizens Dispatches.
Familiarity to use Figma is a plus for this role.
