Easy Actions to Take
⏱~3min | Sign the petition for to tell insurance company AXA to stop financing weapons manufacturers
Why: AXA is one of the largest insurance companies in Europe and is directly invested in weapons manufacturers fueling the Gaza genocide and is one of the BDS Movement's targets. Earlier this year they divested from Elbit systems due to collective pressure, and we must continue pushing for more.
Why: The IOF recently attacked the Kamal Adwan hospital, one of the last functioning hospitals in Northern Gaza. As usual, much of western media is silent. We must continue to apply sustained pressure calling out their biases.
Why: We have recently partnered with Muslims Around The World project to raise funds to provide prosthetics to amputees in Gaza. Currently Gaza has the highest population of child amputees in the world and this program is a vital way to provide much-needed medical assistance after a life-altering injury. Our goal is to raise $20k by the new year!
Little Wins for The People
Why It Matters: After years of pressure, the Israeli company Strauss Group is forced to sell their shares in Sabra hummus after declining sales in the globally. Proof that collective sustained pressure works! Now the focus is on PepsiCo, who also owns SodaStream, another brands complicit in the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
Why it Matters: South Korean were able to repel an attempt to instate martial law by the President and are now mobilizing everywhere to impeach him. This is a great reminder of the type of civic engagement needed to protect democracy.
Why It Matters: Chad is the latest in a string of African countries who are choosing to end decades-long military agreements with their former colonial rulers. This is an important step in Africa uniting and rejecting neocolonialism from Western powers.
